You are the one and only person with whom
I can share all that I a. -unknown
'Patience' If you meet someone in the middle of their story, love them
for who they are, not for what you want them to be. The opportunity for
growth is daily. Just because your expectations aren't met today, doesn't
mean they won't be in the future... be patient. -J. Alan
*'As' Dance as though no one is watching. Love as though you haven't been hurt. *

"The Art of Healing' Acrylic, Color Change, Metallic, Multimedia on Canvas, 20x20""
'The Art of Healing' Strength from surviving life's unplanned challenges is
a well deserved, yet humbling and silent medal of honor. The essential
qualities of strength and integrity learned from such a journey, needs

*'Survivor' From every wound there is a scar, and every scar tells a story. A story that says "I have survived!". It turns your wounds into wisdom. -unknown*
This 24x24" acrylic painting
was inspired by some women who are survivors of domestic abuse. The background
is a blend of black and white acrylic to show each person’s story is different.
The corners are protected to form almost a frame to enhance the essence of
security. The stenciled on gears are to show the work it takes to start the
journey to heal yourself. The strong tree may stand solitary, but the branches
are adorned with sturdy metal and acrylic flowers representing the support and
help it takes to begin that journey and to remind you, you are not alone. On
the base of the tree is a shaped metal heart lock. This is a signature of the
artist showing you that your key to happiness can only be used by you. There is
also a metal plate proudly showing the title of the piece,
'Survivor". The relationships built
during this time create a confidence that reminds you, you are beautiful and
you can say, "I survived!" -Kym Loc
Loving ourselves through the process of owning our own story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do. –Brene’ Brown *
This 36 by 36 inch acrylic triptych humbly evokes courage with the layering of two shades of metallic gold on top of a base of ochre yellow. The edges are painted with layers of gold and brown providing a frame of stability and warmth. Each 36 by 12 inch panel is connected by four hinges which could transform this piece into a corner screen. The same metallic gold paint highlights the tree and branches creating the ambience of value and wisdom. Each branch is embellished with metal flowers, gears, birdcages and bird skulls. These embellishments are hand sewn to each panel and secured with a sealing glue to secure the work. The gears represent the work it takes to begin your journey. The skulls are the lessons life has taught you in the past. The bird cages are to remind you that you are no longer captured and the flowers represent the beautiful strength it takes to own our own story. –Kym Loc

'Seek' 24x36" Acrylic, Metallic on Canvas

The background of this vertical 48x30” acrylic painting has the wisdom of antique gold and copper that a highlight the unconscious beauty of its auburn base color. The gold and copper paint also tempers an ebony frame that harbors the essence of strength from an unaccompanied tree. Three pronged metal plates wrap around each corner of the canvas to embellish and provided protection. On the bottom front two corners, gears embrace small clock hands to remind us to keep looking forward. In the middle of the bottom edge, gears also surround a heart shaped lock. This artist signature accent, represents the determination it took to decipher the love in the artist's heart. The solitary, yet elegant arbors show the dignity it takes for all generations to succeed. The enduring branches reveal delicate metal flora as well in subtle paper like flowers representing elegant fortitude. The strength of the metallic gears surround small locks that serve as a reminder that we have an internal key to control whatever may come our way. –Kym Loc

In this world cannot be seen
Or even heard, but must be
Felt with the heart.

….. I know accepting things that have happened and taking
accountability for my part of these life lessons sounds difficult,
harsh and self-blaming but let me say this; the respect I gained
for myself was a freedom like no other……..
'Your Own Soul' 24x36" Acrylic on Canvas
Freedom is not about the size of your cage
Or power of your wings or non-attachment to a
person or thing.Freedom is about being so
truly, madly, and deeply attached to your own soul
that you can’t bear- If only for a moment-
A life that doesn’t honor it.
'Together' 7x5" Acrylic on Studded Canvas
